almotamar.net - Almotamar.net learned Monday that the meeting of the General Committee (GC) of the General People's Congress (GPC), scheduled to be held on Monday has been postponed to next Thursday due to the report presented by the Primer Minister Dr Ali Mohammed Mujawar to the parliament on Monday as most members of the GC are members in the government and the parliament.

Sources mentioned that the GC meeting to be chaired by President Ali Abdullah Saleh, the Leader of the GPC would discuss the draft constitutional amendments and expansion of the local rule powers.

The meeting will also listen to report by the General Secretariat of the GPC on progress of dialogue with political parties. It will also listen to a report on the elections of the GPC parliamentary bloc of its candidates to the Speaker and members of the parliament presidency body as well as the elections that took place at the parliament and the GPC's winning of the posts of Speaker and members of the Presidency Body of the parliament.
