almotamar.net - The Yemen's cabinet instructed on Tuesday both agriculture and health ministries to encircle and fight the Myiasis disease and to concentrate on enlightening aspects of the citizens on the methods of avoiding it especially on the role of public and personal cleanliness in this respect.

In its meeting on Tuesday presided over by Prime Minister Ali Mohammed Mujawar the cabinet instructed the two ministries to coordinate with the local authority for combating Myiasis that is communicated by fly larvae in the places where it spreads.

The cabinet in this regard learned the preliminary report presented by the ministers of agriculture and health on the Myiasis and the measures taken for treating infection cases and the areas where the disease was discovered.

On the other hand the cabinet referred to the parliament a loan agreement signed by Yemen and Abu Dhabi Fund for Development in contribution to financing Hassan Dam project in Abyan governorate at an amount of $75 million in order to finalise necessary procedures of approval.

The cabinet also discussed a memo of the minister of communications and information technology on requirements for activating the benefit from the fibre optic cable of the Public Establishment for Communications in Television transmission concerning different activities in the governorates.
