The closing statement issued by the event held by the Woman National Committee in collaboration with the National Alliance for Safe Motherhood stressed the necessity of developing data and information units in sectors and providing information categorised according to the gender and to be provided to the Woman National Committee so that to help the woman enhance the woman database in the way helping develop developmental policies targeting the woman depending on those data and information.

The participants in the activity also called for enabling members of the Committee in the ministries and heads of the branches in the governorates to participate in preparation of the executive plans, preparation budgets of sectors out of the perspective of social gender to secure targeting women and men in all those programmes, engaging the woman in mechanisms of following up, watching and assessing implementation of those programmes and coordination between branches of the Woman National Committee and the public administrations for development of the woman leading to develop the government function to support issues of the woman development.

Recommendations included in the closing statement of the event affirmed the call on the civil society organisations to achieve policies of the woman development in their plans, programmes and projects. The recommendations also demanded the necessity of the woman participation in the higher committee for the budget and enhancement the relationship with the national centre of tumors in order to spread awareness among the women especially the mothers about the health issues.

The participants also recommended strengthening the relation with the national alliance of safe motherhood. The participating women in the event also called on the government of Yemen to double the efforts towards limiting illiteracy and focusing on education in the period before the school and to follow up the ministries of education and the social affairs and labour in this regard.

The closing statement valued efforts of the government for opening a sector at the ministry of information concerned with the woman and childhood issues, calling for expanding the women contribution to the position of decision-making and to enable the woman to drawing up the information policies.

At the conclusion the of the event the participants addressed a cable to the president f the republic for his great interest n the issues of the homeland in general and issues of the woman in particular. The telegram affirmed that the president's initiative on the political reform was received with great attention by the women when he put at the core of the initiative the achievement of 15% for the woman at the parliament provided to be embodied in the constitution so that to prevent some of the political forces that want to put the clock hands backward.
