The Yemeni ambassador to Saudi Arabia Mohammed Ali Muhsin al-Ahwal said Thursday that according to directives of the Saudi monarch King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz the activities of the week would be held in several Saudi cities because the Saudi monarch fives the relations of Yemen and Saudi Arabia and their development much of his attention.

The ambassador added that the opening ceremony of the Yemeni cultural week would be in Riyadh and there would be two plastic arts exhibitions for elite of Yemeni plastic artists. The activities also include opening of an exhibition for photographs on Yemen and another exhibition for Arabic calligraphy.

The ambassador added that the activities of the week include holding a Yemeni Book Fair and an exhibition for folklore fashions, especially women's and handicrafts known in Yemeni cities and countryside.

There will be many other cultural activities over the days of the Yemeni cultural week and those activities are considered as translation of the close and distinguished relations of the two sisterly countries.
