Almotamar.net - The governor of Lahj Abdulwahab Yahya al-Durra on Wednesday presided over a meeting for directors of service bureaus and heads of the districts of Tabn and al-Hauta to discuss preparations the festival of Democracy Day of 27 April 2008 and approval of election of governors.

The governor of Lahj affirmed that the decision of the President of the Republic is correct and part of the challenge proving for all that Yemen is consolidating its democratic experiment and considered the decision as a reply to void slogans.

The meeting set up committees for preparation for the Day of Democracy when Lahj governorate will be a scene for an artistic and speech party as well as marches by students, employees, civil society organisations and intellectual and sport activities.
