Almotamar Net - The General Peoples Congress (GPC) Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and External relations Sultan al-Barakani discussed in Peking Wednesday aspects of relations between the GPC and the Chinese Communist Party and relations between Yemen and China in a meeting with member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, the Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly of the Consultative Political conference of the Chinese people Wang Qang. Almotamar.net - The General People's Congress (GPC) Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and External relations Sultan al-Barakani discussed in Peking Wednesday aspects of relations between the GPC and the Chinese Communist Party and relations between Yemen and China in a meeting with member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, the Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly of the Consultative Political conference of the Chinese people Wang Qang.

Al-Barakani praised the continuous development in relations of the two countries, confirming the GPC's keenness on continuous development of this relationship.

On his part the Chinese official expressed his party's willingness to increase exchanges and cooperation with the GPC for boosting the bilateral relations. Mr Wang also mentioned that Yemen is one of the first Arab states that established diplomatic relations with China and that China considers Yemen as an always friend dependable in weal and woe. He added that the two countries have increased exchanges in fields of culture, education, health, and energy and trade cooperation.

The Chinese official pointed out that the Chinese Communist party is willing to strengthen more the exchanges with the GPC and to push forward the friendly relations of the two countries. He has also expressed his appreciation of Yemen's support for China in the issues of Taiwan, Tibet and human rights.
