Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh issued on Sunday the republican decree No. 7 for 2008 calling on elector bodies in the capital and governorates of Yemen to convene. The decree is as follows:
1- Calling electoral staff composed of:

- Head and members of local council in the capital secretariat and heads and members of districts local councils in the capital.

- Heads and members of governorates' local councils and heads and members of districts' local councils in these governorates to meet on May 17 to elect Mayor for the capital secretariat and governors of country's
governorates (the first electoral round).

2- Ministry of Local Administration is authorized to name locations of elections a day before the elections process.

3- The decree is valid since its issuance.
