Almotamar.net - It is expected that the General People� Congress (GPC) delegation, led by the GPC Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and External Relations Sultan al-Barakani, to wind up its visit to China on Tuesday by visiting the city of Shinjin.

The leader of the delegation al-Barakani affirmed Monday the Chinese Republic stand by Yemen and its support for the democratic, economic and developmental developments, saying �The Chinese officials confirmed support of their country for the unity of Yemen as an historic accomplishment.�

Al-Barakani, who is leading the GPC delegation to China, pointed out that the visit is successful and said the elapse of 52 years of bilateral relations between Yemen and China makes these relations more developed and firmer against all challenges and al circumstances.

In a telephone conversation with almotamar.net al-Barakani said the Chinese side has shown its full willingness to enhance relations of cooperation with Yemen in different areas by exchange of delegations and activation of the economic partnership in the way contributing to benefit from China�s experiences in the process of reform and economic openness. Al-Barakani also said the Chinese side demonstrated great response to many of the issues discussed and executive measures for them will be put into force in the next months.

The GPC Assistant Secretary General said the delegation stressed Yemen�s keenness on supporting China and the unity and safety of the Chinese territories and wished success for the Olympiad that will be held in China, calling for keeping sport away from political differences.

The Yemeni GPC delegation held several dialogue meetings in Peking and three official meetings where many of party relations between the GPC and the Chinese Communist party were discussed. The meetings also discussed the economic cooperation of the two countries and development of trade and cultural exchange.
