Almotamar.net - A Parliament-Shoura joint meeting adopted Wednesday the formation of a specialized committee to study the third Five-year Plan and send a report about it during a meeting on 20 April.
The specialized committee includes the development and oil committee of the Parliament, Industry committee of the Shoura Council, and heads of permanent committees in the Parliament and Shoura Council.
The Five-year Plan expects that gross domestic product would grow by 7.1 percent during the plan's period, and that non-petroleum production would grow by 10.1 percent. The population growth rate would decrease to 2.75 percent by the end of the plan's period. Oil prices will stabilize at $ 59.2 per barrel, while the capital construction will grow by 29.1 percent a year.
The Five-year Plan also expects the oil production would decrease by 4.5 percent, while the liquefied natural gas will be achieved, and its revenues can be utilized in 2010.
