Almotamar.net - The Yemeni human rights activist Izzudin al-Asbahi said Sunday the human rights campaign does not come but after comprehension and awareness of the society of these rights, he said consequently comes the significance of programmes for dissemination of knowledge of human rights and enhancement of these principles by training and qualification undertaken by trainers on human rights.
In an address to opening the course on training trainers in Doha Sunday organised by Human Rights Information and Training Centre (HRITC) in cooperation with the National Human Rights Committee in Qatar, he stressed the importance of the training course which includes a theoretical part presenting concepts in the area of human rights and a practical part on basics of training and the way of preparing for a training session. The participants in the training course would afterwards practice preparation and presenting actual training sessions.
On his part the Secretary General of the NHRC Dr Ali Bin Samikh al-Marri thanked in his address to the course the HRITC and all those who worked for preparing the training course. He said it aims at the core of enhancing and spreading the culture of human rights and laying the foundations of cooperation between the NHRC and the HRITC, both of which aim at preparing trained national cadres that would contribute to education in human rights.
