Almotamar.net - Members of the Yemeni Socialist Party (YSP) Central Committee submitted today their resignations to the party's first secretary in Amran governorate, in protest against Islah Party's indifferent behaviors, which they described as " not adherent to Joint Meeting Parties (JMP)principles."
Their resignation came due to Islah Party's control over the JMP's rubber stamp and that the majority of electoral committees members have been selected from the Islah Party, not giving other parties their share in 15 constituencies throughout Amran governorate.
Such resignations came as a result of the domination of the JMP stamp by the Islah Party, a financial official in the JMP's executive committee told the motamar.net
The source added that if the stamp had been submitted officially and legally, nothing could have occurred. "This made the leadership in the JMP branches consider this act not correct and an indication to Islah's leaders intention to defame the JMP's good name and fame among people," the source explained.
The source made it clear that differences have occurred in the JMP as Islah doesn't consider leaderships of other parties. These parties would end in separation, he expected, as Islah's plans aim to get as many electoral seats as possible.

The financial official, moreover, criticized the weak relation among the Joint Meeting Parties. He further noted that Islah Party has presented some of its members as independent candidates in most constituencies, thus violating the agreement signed by all JMP candidates.
The Islah Party has also turned to well-known social figures to ensure seats in three or four constituencies by distributing financial gifts among citizens.
