Almotamar.net - The Vice-President Abid Rabu Mansour Hadi on Saturday called got amending many of the laws, regulations and measures operative at present in the process of anticorruption in the way compatible with international laws and agreements signed by Yemen.

The Vice-President also demanded for drawing up a national strategy for combating corruption and exchanging information and data in that regard, stressing on enhancement of channels of communication and integration among apparatuses concerned with protection of public property and anticorruption.

Speaking at a consultative meeting among Yemeni anticorruption apparatuses held in Sana'a today Mr Hadi called for setting up an internal regulation of regulating the work between the Central Organisation for Control and Audit (COCA) and Supreme National Anti-Corruption Commission and participation of other national institutions concerned with protection of the public property, also for attaining the general goal so that there will be no legal or administrative excuses.

The Vice-President pointed out the importance the harmony of the laws related to protection of the public property and those of combating corruption, especially that Yemen is preparing to enter the World Trade Organization that imposes on countries updating legislations and correct measures in the manner serving the public interest.
