Almotamar.net - Yemeni armed forces and security units continue their national duties in hunting down the remnants of rebellious terrorist elements of the terrorist al-Houthi in some areas of Saada governorate. Official local sources in Saada affirmed Sunday that armed forces and security men have realised big qualitative successes in their mopping up operations they are performing against remnants of insurgent terrorist elements in some areas.

The sources indicated that the forces managed in the past two days to liquidate and mop up many areas where the terrorists were hiding. They added that during the past 24 hours the fighters of armed forces and security continued their field operations for defeating the remaining pockets of terrorist elements in some areas. They are also working on clearing some of the areas where the insurgents have planted landmines.

Moreover the sources added that large numbers of insurgent terrorists were captured and other numbers of them were killed or wounded in the operations of mopping up and chasing as well as in confrontations with al-Houthi followers. In a statement, reported by September.net, the sources made it clear that remnants of terrorist elements resorted planting mines in dirt roads that some are used by civilian pedestrians, in a desperate attempt after those elements have become in a state of collapse and their approaching end. The sources affirmed that there are leading terrorist elements of al-Houthi followers were among those who have been caught by army forces.
The sources have further added that as a result of collapse and incapability and their difficult situations, the terrorists have intentionally cut off the heads of their killed followers and left their dead bodies and maybe that was aimed at not identifying the killed terrorists.
