Almotamar.net - The arbitrary process of selecting Islah Party candidates for local elections causes disunion among Islah Party members in Amran governorate. Abdullah Nasser Al-Hamzi, a prominent Islah Party leader, called upon his followers to leave the Islah Party due to arbitrary selection of candidates.
Al-Hamzi, of Raida district in Amran, expressed his indignation as the Islah Party arbitrarily selected Rajeh Abdullah Al-Zinah, a candidate for local elections, in a non-professional way.
This incident came at a time the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) in Amran governorate go through a crisis due to differences among them that resulted from the domination of the Islah Party on running the JMP affairs and imposing its decisions on other parties within the JMP. The crisis also includes disagreements among the JMP members, who also refuse to stick to the idea of JMP that serves the interests of Islah and knocks down other parties.
On the same front, members of the Yemeni Socialist Party in Amran governorate resigned yesterday due to indifferent behaviors by the Islah Party. They also protested against the domination of Islah Party on the process of selecting the JMP candidates in 15 constituencies of Amran governorate. Such an act caused indignation for other parties within the JMP bloc.
