In his opening on Wednesday the Yemeni-Chinese Investments Symposium in Sanaa , the Premier said, " Areas of investment are many and diversified and we find it as an opportunity to affirm in this symposium our welcoming o Chinese investments in all fields."

Almotamar.net - The Yemeni Prime Minister Dr Ali Mohammed Mujawar on Wednesday called on the Chinese capital for investment in Yemen in sectors of oil and minerals, fish and fishery seaports, agricultural area and real estate. In his opening on Wednesday the Yemeni-Chinese Investments Symposium in Sana'a , the Premier said, " Areas of investment are many and diversified and we find it as an opportunity to affirm in this symposium our welcoming o Chinese investments in all fields."

Dr Mujawar praised the rise in volume of the exchange of trade between the two countries in the year 2007 to YR394.6 billion , at an increase estimated at YR 21.5 billion compared to 2006. He attributed that to spaciousness and multiplicity of the Yemeni Chinese economic relations in industrial , investment and exchange of trade areas , evaluating the Chinese government encouragement of Chinese companies coming to invest in Yemen. He has also stressed his government's interests are mainly focused on achieving balanced development and establishment of partnership between the public and private sectors and enhancement of opportunities and environment of investment.

On his part the visiting Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping said horizons of partnership and friendship with Yemen are multilateral and have laid strong foundation for strengthening economic and trade cooperation of the two countries . He said cooperation between the two countries was more spacious in areas of constructions and engineering and called on establishments in the two countries to achieve progress in production and excavation of oil and production of clothes and metal tools.

The Yemeni-Chinese talks held in Sana'a Tuesday resulted in signing five documents, including supporting Yemen with 280 million Chinese yuan. The talks held by the Yemeni-Chinese Joint Committee , attended by the Yemeni Vice President Abid Rabu Mansour Hadi and the Chinese vice President Xi Jinping , signed a Chinese grant of 80 million yuan and 200 million yuan as easy loans to Yemen for supporting development.

Other agreements signed by the Yemeni and Chinese sides were the building of 120 to 150-bed fully supplied hospital in Sana'a , network connection between the universities of Sana'a and Aden , building a Grand National library in Sana'a .
