Almotamar.net - Director of the Central Prison in Sana'a General Mutahar Ali Naji al-Shuaibi announced Monday the death of Yahya Awad al-Darie condemned of attacking the American embassy in Sana'a with two sound bombs in 2002.
Al-Shuaibi said al-Darie died on Saturday morning at the prison's clinic as he suffered from a sudden heart attack led to his death at once, denying the report published by alishtiraki.net alleging he was given a poisonous injection. He added that the prisoner was a day before his death taken to doctors to be treated from a wound in his leg and he was given treatment.
Al-Darie was condemned by the Specialised Criminal court in Sana'a for hurling two bombs at the American embassy wall in March 2002 and was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment, which reduced to seven years by the Appeals Court. Je has been serving his sentence and the remaining time before his release is nine months.
