Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh received Thursday the envoy of the US Department of State Lincoln Lee, currently visiting Yemen. The meeting tackled bilateral relations and areas of cooperation especially that in the field of military cooperation and fighting terror.

Mr Lee praised Yemen's efforts in fighting terrorism and its achievements in the security field as well as controlling weapons. He has also praised the existing cooperation particularly in training and qualification, affirming the US support for Yemen efforts in combating terror.

On the other hand during his meeting today with the American special envoy of the State Department, the Yemen Minister of Interior General Mutahar Rashad al-Misri discussed with Lee fields of security cooperation and ways of boosting and developing them especially in the area of combating terror. Minister al-Misri lauded the support of the US in various security work fields.

On his part the amercing envoy praised the Yemeni efforts exerted for combating terror.
