Almotamar.net - The General People's Congress (GPC) is constantly working to hold fair elections, and make the September Presidential and local elections a democratic model based on transparency and multi-party competition, said Mohammed Abu Lohoum, head of Foreign Affairs Committee at the GPC.
Abu Lohoum added that the GPC greatly welcomes international observers from any country in the world. "We are not worried. We have a newborn experience that needs support and care from all political parities to help strengthen it," he noted.
Abu Lohoum made such statements after meeting with the coordinator of the Arabic Network for Elections, which would send its team from Arab states to participate in observing the September elections and train a number of local observers.
