Almotamar.net - Yemen Foreign Ministry on Sunday denounced reports published in the media on possibility that the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) of seeking arrest warrants for a number of Sudanese officials, including the Sudanese President Omar Hssan al-Bashir and of accusing them of war crimes in Darfur.

In its statement on Sunday the Yemeni Foreign Ministry considered that move as a dangerous precedence and unacceptable interference of the Sudanese internal affairs and of the Arab and Islamic countries , warning that such a decision would lead to ignite more fires in the Middle East region and Africa.

The statement said , " The Republic of Yemen; leadership, government and people , as expresses its solidarity and standing by the Sudan leadership and people regarding issuance of such irresponsible decision aimed at interference in internal affairs of states and peoples in a selective and flagrant form and reflecting the despotic application of double standard policy, it warns that this decision would double complication of the situations in Darfur and give the groups refusing dialogue and peace , a chance to go further in their obstinate stands refusing the national reconciliation. "

The Yemeni Foreign Ministry statement added that the Yemeni Republic confirms that what the international community should do in these circumstances is calming down the situations in Darfur , establishment of peace in it and keeping away from any steps that increase complication of matters and lead to more weakness and instability.
