Almotamar.net - It is scheduled that a committee composed of leadership of the General People's Congress (GPC), the Arab Baath Socialist Nationalist Party and parties of the Opposition National Council would hold a meeting on Wednesday to discuss two alliance documents presented by the GPC and parties of the Opposition National Council.

Leaderships from the Opposition National Council Parties on Tuesday described results of the meeting with president Ali Abdullah Saleh held on Sunday as positive and constructive.

The meeting resulted in setting up of a committee chaired by the GPC Acting Secretary General Abdulrahman al-Akwaa and membership of Qassem Sallam, Secretary General of the Baath Party and Nasser al-Nassiri , Secretary General of the National Democratic Front so that to come out with a unified vision to face challenges and conspiracies the homeland is exposed to at this stage in addition to considering the formation of the Supreme Commission for Elections and holding the upcoming parliamentary elections on their fixed date.

Chairman of the National Council of Opposition Nasser al-Nassiri made it clear that the committee would consider the papers presented by the GPC and parties of the Opposition National Council containing many national issues and preparation of a report to be presented to the Wednesday meeting.

Al-Nassiri expressed his optimism in results of the dialogue sponsored by President Saleh , demanding amendment of article 19 of the elections law so that ensure distribution of financial support given by the government to political parties and organisations in dependence on the number of votes each party had gained in the latest elections.

Al-Nassiri has called for national alignment and abandoning of violence and not to be dragged behind the regionalist and sectarian calls.
