Almotamar Net - The International Federation for Civil Society foundations based in Geneva has chosen three world personalities to be honoured  in the year of 2008 , one of them President Ali Abdullah Saleh of Yemen as a civil society personality  for this year in recognition of his efforts supporting the building of civil society organisations in Yemen.

Almotamar.net - The International Federation for Civil Society foundations based in Geneva has chosen three world personalities to be honoured in the year of 2008 , one of them President Ali Abdullah Saleh of Yemen as a civil society personality for this year in recognition of his efforts supporting the building of civil society organisations in Yemen.

That has been clarified by Mohammed Ali Allaw, General Coordinator of Civil society Organisations Alliance in Yemen. He said the International federation for the Civil society establishments told him that President Ali Abdullah Saleh is at the top of the world personalities who would be honoured this year for the importance of the role they are playing in supporting civil society organisations and the care rendered to democracy, civilian transparency and human rights.

The General Coordinator of the civil society organisations alliance made it clear that the other two personalities to be honoured other than the President are Bill Clinton and Nelson Mandela. It is scheduled that delegates from the International Federation for Civil Society Establishments to come to Yemen soon to honor the president of the republic.
