Almotamar.net - Assistant Secretary General of the General People's Congress (GPC) for Political Affairs and External Relations Sultan al-Barakani met in Tripoli Wednesday Secretary of the Libyan General People's Conference and discussed with him relations of cooperation between Yemen and Libya as well as relations of cooperation between the GPC and the Libyan General People's Conference. The meeting also reviewed the two countries' relations where the Libyan official affirmed the historical stands of Libya towards Yemen and its unity and stability.

On his part al-Barakani praised the deep relations between Yemen and Libya.

On the other hand al-Barakani and his accompanying delegation currently on a visit to Libya held a meeting with the Libyan minister of Economy, Trade and Investment. The meeting tackled means of enhancing and developing relations of cooperation in economic, trade, investment, contracts and tourism. The two sides agreed on holding meetings between economic activities of Yemen and Libya and participation in international fairs for promotion of the two countries' products. The meeting also stressed the necessity of activating agreements concluded between the two countries in different areas via joint committees.
