Ali Al-Ashwal, head of the Supreme Commission for Elections and Referendum Mareb Branch, was badly injured in armed clashes that erupted between men belonging to Bani Mujadei and Bani Al-Areef tribes due to revenge between them.

Local sources told the motamar.net the incident occurred when clashes renewed between members of the two tribes as they met inside the SCER Mareb Branch premises.
Al-Ashwal, who was there, tried to settle their differences which later on turned into armed clashes. Several bullets injured him, and was sent to the Sana�a-based military hospital, where he now receives medical treatment.
