Almotamar.net - Assistant Secretary General of the General People's Congress (GPC) for Political Affairs Sultan al-Barakani on Sunday urged the youth not to be dragged behind wrong ideas and cultures alien to the religion and society in Yemen.

Al-BRAKANI also urged the youth to face the extremist ideas and practices whatever their source was and to safeguard themselves by seeking knowledge in various fields in the manner helping them formation of clear visions and correct information as well as firm convictions depending on information, comparison and logic.

In a speech delivered on his behalf by Abdulqawi al-Shamiri, Head of the Planning and Studies at the GPC, al-Barakani said science and faith do not agree with exaggeration and extremism and that moderateness is the basis of the ideological and cultural building stressed by the religion of Islam.
