Almotamar.net - The Supreme Commission for Elections and Referendum (SCER) decided to engage 20% of woman leaders in education sector in the supervising committees and 50% in sub-committees. And this is the first time experiment by the SCER.

A meeting of the SCER held on Wednesday presided over by its chairman Khalid Abdulwahab al-Sharif and attended by the Minister of Education Dr Abdulsalam al-Jawfi discussed a proposal regarding the executive mechanism for selecting participants in committees on revising and amending voter registers in preparation for the upcoming parliamentary elections in Yemen in April 2009 from employees of the education sector.
