Almotamar.net - A session of talks between President Ali Abdullah Saleh and the King of Jordan Abdullah II bin al-Hussein were held at the royal palace in Aqaba city of Jordan Wednesday afternoon. The talks dealt with the close relations of the two countries and peoples and the ways for boosting and developing aspects of cooperation in all fields especially the economic and security as well as exchange of expertise in the manner serving and developing the two countries' common interests.
The two leaders' talks also dealt with developments of the current situation in the region particularly in Palestine and Iraq and combating terror.
The talks were attended on the Yemeni side by parliament Speaker Yahya al-Raei, Premier Dr Ali Mohammed Mujawar and Yemen's ambassador to Jordan Hussein Tahir bin Yahya and for the Jordanian side they were attended by Prime Minister Nadir al-Thahby, Director of Intelligence General Mohammed al-Thahby and a number of officials.
The Jordanian King gave a lunch party in honour of President Saleh and his accompanying delegation.
