Almotamar.net - Egyptian Minister of Workforce and Immigration A'isha Abdulhadi said Thursday the Yemeni government accepted to exclude the Egyptian labour in Yemen from paying duties for residency levied from incoming labour.

She said the measure comes in response to discussions she had conducted with the Yemeni Prime Minister during her visit to Sana'a two months ago when she had reviewed necessary measures for implementation of the principle of reciprocity concerning exemption of Egyptian labour in Yemen and similarly the Yemeni labour in Egypt from duties of residency.

Minister Aabdulhadi praised the response by the Yemeni side by issuing these decisions that she confirmed would encourage transfer of labour between the two countries and described that as culmination of the good relations between Yemen and Egypt.

The minister said in statements published in al-Ahram newspaper that the next period is to witness more coordination and integration between the two countries at various levels in general and in the areas of labour and finance in particular.
