Almotamar.net - Security sources in Lahj governorate said Friday authorities transported 50 African migrants, among them 10 women and two children from Kharaz camp for refugees and put them in detention in preparation to deport them.

The sources added to almotamar.net the migrants hold the Ethiopian nationality and had entered the Yemeni territories illegally, pointing out that procedures for their deportation would be completed via the Immigration and Passports Authority in Aden governorate.

Meanwhile, the average of African refugees influx into Yemen has increased lately in an eye-catching manner, particularly the Somali refugees.

The Yemeni Interior Ministry news website mentioned that the coast of Ahwar in Abyan governorate has received 246 Somali refugees, among them 37 women and two children.

In the mean time the police in Ahwar district have made it clear that they found 3 dead bodies for Somali refugees on the beach and it buried them after getting permission from the prosecution and notifying the office of the UNHCR in Ahwar. It said that the rest of refugees were given lodging at a camp specialised for them in the district so that they would be sent to the refugee camp in Kharaz area, Lahj governorate.

Meanwhile, some 135 Somali refugees landed on Broum shores in the governorate of Hadramout, among them 57 women and 17 children. Though the source did not mention the date of arrival of that number of refugees it mentioned that the Yemeni coasts are witnessing the arrival of large numbers of refugees from Somalia and countries of the Horn of Africa on a daily basis.
