Almotamar.net - The Republic of Yemen has called the international community for finding a political solution to Somalia problem and solving the question of migrant that has become a phenomenon increasing greatly in Yemen and affects different walks of economic and social life in it.

Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Muthana ha made those remarks after his return on Monday from meetings of session 59 of the UNJCR Executive Committee that concluded its meetings in Geneva the day before yesterday.

Mr Muthana pointed out that Yemen expressed its concern regarding continuation of the deteriorating situations in Somalia with their impact that produced the phenomenon of sea piracy and armed robbery of ships in the waterway to the south of the Red Sea. Those acts have affected the international navigation movement and the region's countries.

He said that Yemen has also urged the international community to act quickly for supporting the peaceful; settlement in Somalia by international forces that include forces from Islamic and African countries to replace the Ethiopian forces so that Somalia's security and stability would return.

Yemen's Deputy Foreign Minister pointed out that the participants in the Geneva meetings have reached to decisions and recommendations more important of which are calling on the international community for offering more support for he migrants, contribution to finding peaceful settlements for issues of migration and providing support for the migrants in their respective countries.
