Almotamar.net - Governor of Hadramout Salem al-Khanbashi on Friday declared the Hadramout governorate, east of Yemen, an affected area because of a sea storm hitting its coasts for the past 36 hours.

Governor al-Khanbashi confirmed in a statement to almotamar.net the death of more than 19 persons swept by torrents outpouring from districts of the governorate, indicating that torrents were still surrounding the districts of Al-Ein-Amd, Douan and Sah.

The governor also mentioned that rescue teams managed to rescue more than 100 families and more than 200 cars that were surrounded with torrents in districts of Shahr, Mukalla, and Ghail Bawazir.
