Almotamar.net - Secretary General of the Higher Council for Development of Exports in Yemen Nouman al-Malasi revealed Sunday preparations for holding the first conference on Yemeni non-oil exports to be held on 24-25 of this month.

He said the conference aims at increasing contribution of Yemeni non-oil exports to the national economy and enhancement of their capability of entering foreign markets. The conference would deal with many of issues related to exportation of Yemeni products to the world and neighbouring countries. He also added that the conference will be attended by number of government sides and local and foreign private sectors working in the area of exportation.

Al-Malasi said the holding of the conference comes in response to implementing the election platform of the President of the Republic that emphasized on focusing on development of exportation as a priority for the diversification of income sources by development of exportation of the Yemeni products of relative characteristic and the realisation the greater amount of benefit from products exported by Yemen at the present time of agricultural , fish , industrial products and construction stones and materials.

The conference wills over two days discus working papers related competitive abilities of Yemeni non-oil exportations, future horizons, enhancement of the role of partners and development of exports and services supporting exportation and foreign trade.
