Almotamar.net - Head of the Information Office at the General People's Congress GPC Tareq al-Shamy said Thursday there is nothing new about what was announced on a new round of dialogue between the GPC and the Joint Meeting Parties JMP. He added that," Mediations were made by organisations working in Yemen for elections and social personalities on the GPC view about elections that was announced previously but they did not result in anything new."

Al-Shamy said the JMP seems it has preferred to boycott the elections and that is a democratic constitutional right of the JMP but that right does not mean that it to attempt pushing people to instigate chaos and using means that are not within the peaceful order regarding the acts violating security and the law.

Al-Shamy also affirmed that the law of elections organises all procedures and there are punishments against those who violate that law. He has expressed, in a statement published by News Yemen website, his hope that responsible authorities would apply them as soon as possible so that there would not be a kind of negligence and recklessness.
