Almotamar.net - A source at the General People's Congress GPC, Saada branch has on Thursday derided statements by the spokesman for the Joint Meeting Parties JMP in Saada and his mentioning that the GPC is not present in the governorate.

The GPC source reminded the JMP spokesman that the nine parliamentary constituencies as well as members of the local councils in five districts in addition to the local council of the governorate are all from the GPC and the JMP is an alien being in Saada. He added that slogan of the Yemen Socialist Party or that of the JMP were not seen with any of candidates at all stages of previous elections and wondered about mentioning of rigging the past local elections though there were representatives for the JMP in all constituencies and had not challenged results of any poll boxes.

The source aid the JMP did not benefit from the democratic process and its practice correctly in order to build a mass base instead of militias, calling on the Yemen Socialist party to benefit from its boycotting of the 1997 elections.
