Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh stressed that the acts of piracy in the area of south Red Sea would not end but by rebuilding the state of Somalia. He showed Yemen readiness to cooperate with the international community for keeping security and stability in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
In an interview to Russia Today TV Channel on Friday President Saleh said," We are ready to cooperate for establishment of security and stability in the Red Sea, in the Ocean and Gulf of Aden but I repeat that this piracy would not come to end unless the international community works for rebuilding the state of Somalia and restructuring of its institutions."
The President also called for distribution of tasks among the countries situated on the Red Sea and the countries that have sent their warships to the region for supporting security and achievement of stability.
The President pointed out the presence of American, German and Dutch and also interference of Russian navy in the region, saying," We are ready for cooperation with them so that tasks are distributed for establishment of security and stability in Gulf of Aden, the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean and the Arabian Sea. With cooperation of all those states and the concerned countries overlooking the Red Sea as well as the countries that possess strong navy forces , such as America, Holland, Germany, France and Russia."
