Almotamar.net - The Specialised Criminal Court continued on Saturday considering the case of three accused people charged with contacting foreign sides, namely Abdulkarim Ali Laji, Hani Ahmed Deen and Iskandar Abdullah Yusuf.

In the court sitting chaired by Judge Muhsin Alwan the prosecution reviewed statements of the defendant Iskandar fixed in statements of gathering evidence containing his confession that his relationship with the defendant Abdulkarim was since 2003.

The prosecution said the defendant mentioned that he dealt with Zainab Company for Trade and was meeting with an Iranian national called Mahdi, working at the Iranian embassy.

The prosecution said the defendant was providing defendant Abdulkarim Laji information on mines and on movements of experts who in turn delivers to the Iranian embassy he said defendant Abdulkarim proposed on his to work in gathering information on activities of the American naval base in Qatar and to travel to Qatar for an intelligence work on watching ships supplies.

When the court asked him about his sayings the defendant said some of them were his as he was working for the demining program and retired at present and denied others and said he was interrogated with his eyes folded.

The court decided to postpone the next sitting to Monday after the next to complete statements of the third defendant. The court has completed listening to statements of the first and the second defendants in the case.
