Her comments came in her Tuesday meeting the Head of the Political Office at the General People�s Congress GPC Abdullah Ahmed Ghanim. The two officials held discussions on the developments witnessed in Yemen in the area of democracy as well as preparations of the GPC for holding the parliamentary elections scheduled on 27 April 2009.

Mr Ghanim reaffirmed holding the elections in the scheduled date, whether with or without participation of the Joint Meeting Parties JMP in them, pointing out the existence of other political parties which would take part in the elections.

Ghanim also reviewed proceedings of the dialogue in the past period with the alliance of the JMP and reasons of existing difference on the elections. He stressed that the impracticable conditions put forward by the JMP were a clear indication on the JMP insistence on boycotting the elections.
