Almotamar.net - In its weekly meeting on Tuesday chaired by Prime Minister Ali Mohammed Mujawr the cabinet sanctioned a draft law on protection of the national production. The draft law was presented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The cabinet asked to finalize constitutional procedures for its passing.


The law aims to protect the national economy against impact resulting from harmful practices in the international trade and dumping. It also aims at building new local industry and developing and increasing the existing products.

The cabinet also got acquainted with the draft of the national strategy for managing solid wastes for the year 2009-2010 that is presented by the Ministry of Local Administration.

The cabinet considered the weekly report presented by the Minister of Interior on the security situation in the country and the efforts exerted by the Ministry for enhancement of security and confronting the crime and arresting the criminals as well ads combating terrorist activities.
