By:almotamar.net - SANA'A- At its session chaired by Judge Saeed al-Qatta, the Sana'a-based Penal Court's Appeal Division has passed a judgment on five people charged with forging money and possessing arms without license.
The court sentenced Walid Abdullah al-Mekhlafi to five years in prison; Adel Hussein to four years in prison; Walid al-Matari to three years in prison; and Fuad Ahmed and Ahmed al-Kawkabni to two years in prison.
The prosecution had already charged them with bearing arms in public places and forging money.
The defendants have confessed to forging money using copier and scanner machines in two apartments in al-Raqqas and Shamlan neighborhoods.
Security authorities arrested them with a counterfeited sum of 100,000 riyals, copiers, scanner, and unlicensed pieces of arms.
