Almotamar.net - Yemen Interior Ministry announced Wednesday its plan for deploying specialized security units in the main streets of the capital Sana’a to control what it described as a phenomenon of girls harassment and acts of theft.

The Ministry said that the capital security administration has begun carrying out a plan fro keeping rules of decency in the crowded main streets much frequented by women, indicating it would deploy police in the main streets for that purpose.

The Security Information Centre of the Ministry said Tuesday the adoption of the plan came in response to the Ministry receiving of complaints and reports from women on continuation of being harassed during their shopping in the crowded streets and trading shops. The Ministry added it has received reports on thefts and pick pocketing incidents carried out in public places.
