Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh and the President of Tajikistan Emomalii Rahmon held on Friday a summit in the Tajik capital, Dushanbe.
During the summit, the two presidents discussed the fraternal relations and cooperation fields between the two countries and means of reinforcing and developing them, especially in the fields of energy, minerals, education, agriculture and health.
The two leaders reviewed what has been implemented of the signed agreements between the two countries during the visit of Rahmon to Yemen by the end of 2008.
The Tajik President Rahmon pointed out in the meeting the investment climate in his country and the project they propose for investors.
He expressed his welcome of brothers from Yemen and of exchanged visits. President Rahmon revealed the decision of his country to open a diplomatic representation in Yemen through one of their embassies in the region. And he wished there would be a Yemeni diplomatic representation in Tajikistan
They also discussed coordination of both countries' stands towards many issues and topics of concern to the Arab and Islamic nations as well as reinforcing role of the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) to serve Islamic issues including current development in the region, coming on top Palestinian situations under the Israeli oppressive siege.
