Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Saturday arrived in the Indonesian capital Jakarta to take part in meetings of the Fifth Economic Forum of the Islamic World, which Indonesia hosts, on the 2nd of next March.

President Saleh was received at Jakarta Airport by Indonesian Minister of State, the Chair of the committee organizing the
Forum, Advisor to the Indonesian president, Yemen�s ambassador to Indonesia and a number of the embassy staff.

In statements upon his arrival in Jakarta President Saleh expressed his pleasure for taking part in the Economic Forum, pointing out it is held under very important circumstances due to the world economic crisis that left its reflections on world countries economies, among them the Islamic nations. He added that would require the facing and containing of this crisis.


The President said, �We are in Yemen stress the importance the establishment of the Islamic Common Market and the increase in the volume of economic cooperation and trade exchange in the manner securing the common interests of the Islamic nation.

He has also stressed the importance of taking a united Islamic stand with regard to different issues and developments that concern the Islamic nation.
