Almotamar.net - An official source at the General Secretariat of the General People’s Congress GPC on Wednesday expressed surprise over a statement made by deputy spokesman for the US State Department on the agreement reached by all political forces in Yemen on a two-year extension of Yemeni parliament tenure. The extension was for going on in constitutional draft amendments, development of the political system and elections and preparation for convenient climates for holding free, transparent and honest parliamentary elections.

The GPC ruling party in Yemen source said what has been reached of national accord is a matter concerns the people of Yemen with al of their political and social and cultural activities. The people of Yemen received this move with great satisfaction and it is a step serving in the first place the higher public interest and the march of democracy and stability in Yemen.
