By:almotamar.net - Al-MAHRA- The independent presidential candidate Ahmed Abdullah al-Majeedi began his election publicity by holding a festival in al-Ghaida city, al-Mahra governorate.
In the festival, al-Majeedi mentioned his deep relations with al-Mahra as he used to be its governor.
In his speech, he stressed on the importance of fishing sector in the governorate, affirming it is important to improve such a sector as it suffers from plundering. He also referred to unemployment, saying it is important to find job opportunities for the young people at al-Mahra.
With regard to women, al-Majeedi said woman is a creative power in the society, and that some parties shouldn't use her as a decoration. The role of women in this governorate has become different from what it used to be in the past, he noted.
In the festival, also, al-Majeedi tackled the case of Nashtoon port, which, according to him, has been ignored.
