Almotamar.net - The General People’s Congress GPC is at present conducting intensive preparations for convening the second session of the 7th General Conference in the next near period. Head of the Information Office at the GPC Tareq al-Shamy has on Thursday made it clear, in this respect that specialized preparatory committees assigned with preparing for the session are continuing to hold meetings to fulfill the tasks they are entrusted with.
Al-Shamy also declared that the 7th General Conference in its second session would consider recent developments of political, economic and social developments in the national arena. It would also discuss results of dialogue with opposition parties and the tasks that all should undertake in the next two years that has been agreed on in the agreement on postponing the parliamentary elections in Yemen.
In a statement to 26 September newspaper al-Shamy revealed that the second session would also discuss and approve the proposed amendments in the GPC rules of procedures and would discuss recent regional, Arab and international recent developments and take suitable stands towards them.
