Almotamar Net - Vice President, the Deputy Leader and secretary General of the General People’s Congress GPC Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi affirmed Monday that agreement of the GPC and the opposition Joint Meeting Parties JMP on extending term of the parliament for two years was aimed at conducting a group of reforms related to development of the electoral system in the way guaranteeing the direction towards a large-powered local rule.

Almotamar.net, Saba - Vice President, the Deputy Leader and secretary General of the General People’s Congress GPC Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi affirmed Monday that agreement of the GPC and the opposition Joint Meeting Parties JMP on extending term of the parliament for two years was aimed at conducting a group of reforms related to development of the electoral system in the way guaranteeing the direction towards a large-powered local rule.

During his meeting on Monday with the expert in democracy field, Mr Hadi pointed out that despite democracy in Yemen is still in the process of growing it however made good distances.

The GPC Secretary General also considered contributions of the American democratic Institute in the previous period as excellent, constructive and helpful of the democratic march.

On the other hand the Vice President directed on Monday the government to offer all the requested support to the Comoros in areas of transportation, telecommunication, education and training.

During his meeting with the visiting President of the Comoros Ahmed Sambi, Hadi affirmed the Yemeni adherence to develop its relations with Comoros in different fields, voicing the country's readiness to present all support in several fields.

For his part, Sambi talked on the economic situations in Islamic Federal Republic of the Comoros, highlighting the coming parliamentary elections and the constitutional referendum to be held in the coming months.
