Almotamar.net - Yemeni Coast Guard forces are trying to liberate a ship owned by Aden Refineries Company Somali pirates attempted to seize it offshore Shaqra, Abyan governorate on Sunday.

Security sources in Aden governorate affirmed to almotamar.net that the operation of repelling the pirates in which Yemeni navy participates has resulted in the killing of two pirates and capture of five others, among them three wounded in the confrontation. However, the fate of the ship�s captain, Indian nationality, is still unknown. Also, no confirmed information reached about liberation of the ship.

The sources clarified to alnmotamar.net that the ship, a small oil tanker, was returning from al-Mukalla to Aden after unloading its shipment three days before.
