Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh discussed in Sana’a on Tuesday, with Robert Hannigan Advisor to the British Prime Minister for Security Affairs, bilateral relations and areas of cooperation between the two friendly countries and ways of enhancing them at various levels, particularly combating terror and sea piracy.

The British official conveyed greetings of British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and his wishes for good health to President Saleh and ever progress for the people of Yemen. Mr Hannigan has confirmed his country’s keenness on enhancement of its relations with Yemen and support for its efforts in development, reforms, democracy, and fighting terror and sea piracy, praising Yemen’s efforts for fighting terror and support of international efforts in this regard.

The British official also confirmed that the United Kingdom strongly supports security, satiability and unity of Yemen and considers that united and stable Yemen serves security and stability in the region.

For his part President Ali Abdullah Saleh praised the Yemeni British relations, emphasizing Yemen’s keenness on enhancing them and expanding areas of cooperation with Britain in different fields. President Saleh also praised the British support for development in Yemen, commending the efforts of Britain for sup [porting Yemen during the donors conference held in London. He has asked the British official to convey his greetings to the British Premier and his wished for good health and for more progress for the British people.
