Almotamar.net - An agreement was signed on Tuesday for the establishment of a Yemeni-Qatari for insurance. The agreement was signed on Tuesday at the headquarters of Investment authority in Sana’a and the company’s is amounting to YR 500 million to which the Yemeni side contributes to YR 300 million.

The agreement was signed by Yemeni businessman Hayel Abdulhaq representing Shahir Group, Sheikh Nawaf Al Thani, chairman of the board of directors Qatari Doha Company for Insurance.
At the press conference held by the Investment Authority, chairman of the Authority Salah al-Attar said the investment opportunities are existent in Yemen and with great privileges, adding that the establishment of the Yemeni-Qatari insurance company would represent a qualitative activity in the Yemeni economy. he has disclosed that his Authority intends the beginning of next November to hold a workshop in Qatar state for promoting for Yemen as an investment destination and to explain to investors in Qatar the achievements of the investment climate in Yemen that have been realized recently and to display the available investment opportunities.

For his part Sheikh Nawaf considered the establishment of the company as representing important aspects in investment in Yemen.
