Almotamar.net, Saba - President Ali Abdullah Saleh visited on Monday the new building of Information Ministry, inspecting the different facilities and the work progress in the ministry.

President Saleh got acquainted with the work plan of various information institutions of the Ministry, voicing his appreciation for the exerted efforts by the persons, who work in the information field to create a healthy national awareness towards the different issues and developments concerning the country and citizens.

Saleh indicated the importance of the noble national message and the media role in confronting the extremist thoughts and the disinformation campaigns against the homeland.

He affirmed on the vital role of those who carry honourable pens in defending achievements of the revolution, unification, democracy and development and disclosing the facts to the public inside and outside the country.

Furthermore, Saleh highlighted the potentials provided to the media in light of availing from all the up- to- date techniques in field of telecommunication and information technology.

The President confirmed the necessary of coping with such techniques continuously and qualifying the human cadres working in the media field to promote the level of their competency and abilities to formulate a meaningful and effective message.

He affirmed the state's interest in the information cadre and improving its living and professional conditions to enable it to perform its duties.
