Almotamar.net, Saba - Searchers for the debris of a Yemeni jetliner which crashed into the Indian Ocean on Tuesday have recovered some pieces of the airplane, Yemeni officials said Friday.
The Higher Committee on Monitoring Aviation Accidents said in a statement new French instruments that could help find the debris of the airliner have been provided in an effort to find the Black Box Recorders.
Early Tuesday, the Yemenia passenger jet, IY 626 flight came down in the ocean off the Republic of Comoros with 153 passengers and a crew onboard.
Few bodies have been recovered so far.
Only a 14-year-old French girl could survive the crash, which reports earlier blamed on bad weather.
The flight was on a trip from France, Yemen and via Djibouti to Moroni, capital of the Comorian Republic.
Investigations are underway.
Meanwhile, a team from the Insurance Company on Thursday reached the Comoros capital Moroni. The teams began Friday receiving relatives of the crashed plane victims to explain the measures the company is to take in the future.
